現場を支えるネットストア「モノタロウ」を運営する株式会社MonotaRO (本社：大阪市北区、代表執行役社長：田村咲耶、以下 モノタロウ) は、2025年4月にインドのチェンナイ市に初のテックセンター（IT開発拠点）を設立し、9月12日に「MonotaRO Technologies India Private Limited」として稼働を開始しました。

■テックセンター設立の背景と目的
当社は「資材調達ネットワークを変革する」をミッションに掲げ、日本をはじめ韓国、インドネシア、インドで間接資材の事業者向けネット通販事業を行っています。事業者の皆様が必要な商品を探す時間を短縮するため、お客様一人ひとりの購買行動や嗜好に合わせたマーケティング（ダイレクトマーケティング）を実施しています。2023年から、これらの施策をさらに強化するための統合マーケティング(※)基盤の開発などを進めています。今回のテックセンター開設は、自社システムの開発体制の強化と優秀なエンジニアの確保、さらには技術知見の蓄積を目的としています。
※統合マーケティング：Webサイト、アプリ、メール、カタログなどを連携させ、一貫性のあるメッセージや適切な商品提案をお客様に提供する取り組み。

インド・チェンナイ市を選定した理由
インドは、初等教育から高等教育まで一貫して科学・技術・工学・数学（STEM）分野の教育を推進しており、世界のテクノロジー企業で活躍するITエンジニアを多数輩出し、多くのグローバル企業がIT開発拠点を構える国です。
今回拠点を設立するチェンナイ市は、インド有数の工科大学であるIIT Madras（インド工科大学マドラス校）をはじめとするIT関連の教育機関が多く集まる地域です。優秀なIT材が豊富であり、英語での円滑なコミュニケーションが可能で、知見の共有とチームワークを重視したIT開発拠点として最適と判断しました。

■今後の展望
今後、当テックセンターでは人員を大幅に拡充していく予定です。今回の稼働開始により、株式会社MonotaROおよび連結子会社のマーケティング領域および自社システムの開発体制の強化を図り、事業成長とお客様への提供価値の向上を目指してまいります。

MonotaRO Opens its First Tech Center in Chennai, India.
～ Aiming to Enhance Direct Marketing Infrastructure and Accelerate Service

MonotaRO Co., Ltd.(TSE Prime: 3064), a leading MRO supplies e-commerce platform,
established its first Tech Center (IT development base) in Chennai, India in April 2025.
The facility commenced operations on September 10 as "MonotaRO Technologies India Private Limited."

■Background and Purpose of Establishing the Tech Center
Our corporate mission is "To Innovate Business Procurement Network." We conduct B2B
online business of indirect materials in Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, and India. To save the
time businesses customers spend finding the products they need, we implement direct
marketing tailored to each customer's purchasing behavior and preferences Since 2023, we
have been developing initiatives such as developing an integrated marketing (*) platform to
further strengthen these efforts. By opening this Tech Center, we aim to strengthen our
in-house systems development capabilities, secure engineering talent, and accumulate
technical expertise.
* Integrated Marketing: An initiative that connects our website, app, email, and catalog to deliver consistent
messaging and appropriate product recommendations to customers.

・Reasons for selecting Chennai, India
India consistently promotes education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields from primary through higher education. The country has produced numerous IT engineers who work active in global technology companies, and many global corporations
established IT development hubs there.
Chennai, where we are establishing this hub, is a region home to numerous IT-related
educational institutions, including IIT Madras (Indian Institute of Technology Madras), one of
India's leading engineering universities. We selected Chennai as the optimal location for our IT
development hub because of its deep pool of IT-talents, the ability to communicate smoothly
in English, and its emphasis on knowledge sharing and teamwork.

■Future Plans
We plan to significantly expand our personnel at this Tech Center. The Center will strengthen
the marketing capabilities and in-house systems development structures of
MonotaRO Co., Ltd. and its consolidated subsidiaries, driving business growth and enhancing
our customer value proposition.
